Harman International (India) Pvt Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harman International Industries Inc, was established in the year 2009 and has a research and development centre that provides support to the company's global business. The development centre was set up to broaden Harman's engineering footprint for developing audio and infotainment solutions for automotive, professional and consumer lifestyle markets. India's exports rise by 2.14% to $36.27 billion in July

Preliminary data released earlier this month had shown a 0.76 per cent contraction in exports at USD 35.24 billion for July against USD 35.51 billion in July 2021. The trade deficit was pegged at a record USD 31 billion in the month fuelled by over 70 per cent rise in crude oil imports.

EU to end duty benefits for 1,800 goods under Generalised Tariff Preference Scheme

Exports of almost 1,800 products of plastics, fur, stone, plaster, cement, asbestos, and machinery and mechanical appliances will cease to get the benefits and make Indian goods more expensive with exporters paying 6.5% duty for certain plastic products where the tariff is nil at present. Their exports to the EU in 2021 were $7.9 billion.

The report estimates that for India to achieve its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris agreement, the country requires approximately Rs 162.5 lakh crore (USD 2.5 trillion) from 2015 to 2030 or roughly Rs 11 lakh crore (USD 170 billion) per year, the US-based organisation said in a statement.
