Mahindra to inspect over 1 lakh units of XUVs for potential wiring issues

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that they will inspect and rectify XUV700 units manufactured between June 8, 2021, and June 28, 2023, along with 3,560 XUV400 vehicles manufactured between February 16 to June 5 of this year. The company stated that they will contact the customers who are using the mentioned models for inspections and subsequent rectifications, which will be carried out free of cost.

M&M gets INR 14.3 lakh penalty notice for incorrect input tax credit claim by erstwhile arm

Mahindra & Mahindra has been fined over INR 14.3 lakh (USD 20k) for taking incorrect input tax credit during the transition to the GST regime by Mahindra Vehicle Manufacturers, which has since been merged into it. The company is hopeful of a favourable outcome at an appellate level, as it does not expect the order to have any significant financial impact, M&M said in a regulatory filing.

Mahindra Group likely to split auto business into 3 units

The exercise, which is understood to be in the early stages, will involve separating the electric vehicle, tractor and passenger vehicle (PV) businesses into three independent companies via a demerger process, said people in the know of the plan. Currently, these are housed under Mahindra & Mahindra as separate divisions.

Mahindra Scorpio 1.99 litre mHAWK engine gets Intelli-Hybrid technology for Delhi NCR

The Scorpio with Intelli-Hybrid is available at a starting price of Rs. 9.35 lac for the S4 model* and will be on sale with immediate effect. Being a mild hybrid, the Scorpio will be sold with a concessional Value Added Tax (VAT) of 5% in Delhi which translates into a benefit of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 90,000 for the customer, depending on the variant purchased.

Punjab deputy CM to launch 100 Maruti Ertiga vehicles

With an aim to modernise police force and to increase their operational capability for combating crime in urban areas of the state, Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal would be launching the second phase of this plan from Ludhiana on Friday. Under this plan, the state government had sanctioned funds amounting to Rs 10 crore for the purchase of 150 Maruti Ertiga vehicles for police.

M&M consolidated Q1 PAT up 16% at Rs 962 crore

The revenue, for the quarter talked about, stood at Rs 11,961 crore, reporting an increase of 14 percent. Total vehicles sold during the period for both M&M and MVML stood at 1,10,959 units, up 9.7 percent.

Power surge plan for electric vehicles in works

“Permits will be liberalised for e-vehicles in these categories. The number of e-vehicles in the segments can go up as high as 25-30%... in the next few years,” said an official.
