Daimler India Commercial Vehicles announced a strategic tie-up agreement with Shriram Automall India Ltd to bring used commercial vehicles to the domestic CV market. After approving the green fuel for automotive use, the government has now notified changes in the gas cylinder norms to pave the way for LNG refuelling stations and help start commercial service by LNG vehicles.
The green signal has prompted truck and bus manufacturers such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, M&M and BharatBenz to step on the gas with LNG version of their vehicles.

BharatBenz on Saturday said that it has launched its new heavy duty truck range here, equipped with a system based on "SCR technology" to meet the new BS-IV emission standards.
