The group, which also makes vans, buses, engines and military vehicles, said adjusted earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) from its industrial activities rose 27% in October-December to 238 million euros (USD 256 million), beating analysts' forecast of 220 million euros in a company poll.
Initiating India operations in 1998, the brand has pioneered and introduced technological advancements for the country’s farming sector, the company said.
The association is a part of CASE’s CSR initiatives and aims to foster increased collaboration between academics and the industry for exchange of ideas, knowledge enhancement and research. The Centre is scheduled to be ready by March 2024.
With drier times still predicted for many of Australia’s farming regions in 2024, moisture management is set to become even more critical in order to maximise soil and paddock productivity, the company said.
The company showcased its marquee Backhoe Loader – 770 NX Plus and Soil Compactor 1107 NX-PD at CII EXCON 2023. It also marked its debut in two new categories in India with the unveiling of an all new Skid Steer Loader – SSL 175 and compact machines through mini Excavator – CX 35D to its domestic product portfolio.
With the introduction of six new products, CASE will enter two new categories in the domestic market at the largest construction equipment exhibition in South Asia taking place in Bengaluru between December 12 and 16.
The Italian-American company guided for an increase in net revenue from industrial activities, which account for the majority of CNH's revenue, of between 3-6% this year, down from a previous forecast of 8-11%. CNH, which houses brands such as Case IH and New Holland, reported third-quarter net sales from industrial activities down 1% year on year at USD 5.33 billion.
This development strengthens CNH’s position as a leading technology provider for agriculture and construction, CNH said.
With nearly two decades of experience in the Indian construction equipment landscape and exposure to global best practices, Chaturvedi will be responsible for strategic and sustainable expansion of the CASE Construction Equipment brand in the region.
The Pune plant is a greenfield facility established for the harvesters and crop residue management range of products.
Iveco, which at that time was part of CNH Industrial group, and Nikola formed the joint venture, based in Ulm, Germany, in 2019 to help the Italian truckmaker, a latecomer to electrification, catch up with large European rivals such as Daimler Truck or Volvo. Battery electric (BEV) trucks developed by the JV are already circulating in the U.S., while orders are being collected in Europe. Fuel cell hydrogen hybrid (FCEV) trucks are expected to hit the road next year.
“This acquisition is a critical step that advances our automated and autonomous solutions for Agriculture and Construction. Combined with our Raven Brand’s capabilities, this development gives us full control of our precision and navigation technologies,” the company said.
The facility, enabled by a virtual reality space with the latest technology for operators, will focus on training and upskilling dealer staff, employees and customers, the company said.

Augmenta will operate within the Raven brand of CNH Industrial, as a subset of its precision technology portfolio. It will maintain its existing employees and offices in Greece and the USA, the company said.
Wages will increase by a further 4.5% from January next year. Workers will also receive a one-off sum totalling 600 euros (USD 632), including benefits, to be paid in three tranches this year, UILM and FIM-CISL unions said in statements, setting out the deal.
The union did not disclose how many workers at the two plants rejected the four-year deal, which included wage increases of 25% to 38% according to CNH on Sunday. Still, union members said the proposed contract failed to provide enough of a raise to combat inflation, additional vacation days or better healthcare coverage.
Local members of the United Auto Workers (UAW) union will vote on Saturday on the proposed contract. In May, over 1,000 union members in Racine, Wisconsin, and Burlington, Iowa, walked off their equipment-making jobs after a six-year contract expired at both facilities.
The UILM, FIM-CISL, Fismic, UGLM and AQCF metalworkers' unions in October started talks to renew four-year contracts expiring at the end of 2022 for most Italian workers at the four groups, all descended from the former Fiat.
