Automotive supplier Continental has announced plans to wind down its Gifhorn plant, with operations to cease by the end of 2027, affecting roughly 450 jobs. The company cited cost pressures within the automotive sector, dwindling automotive markets and a cost structure that was difficult to compete against when setting out the reasons behind the decision.
