The manufacturer of BharatBenz trucks and buses, said that despite significant supply chain headwinds, rising input costs and impact of the pandemic, the company recorded 125% growth in exports last year, its highest-ever, and also highest-ever sales of parts.
The truck is powered by a OM 926 BS-VI engine that churns out 284 PS of power and a peak torque of 1100 Nm.
BharatBenz's new state-of-the art 3S touchpoint facility is located in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra.
Erich Nesselhauf, Managing Director and CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles said, “With GST in place, we expect additional momentum at BharatBenz, which we intend to bolster as we reduce prices to pass on GST benefits to our customers. Borderless pan-Indian transportation is expected to improve the overall efficiency of logistics companies in line with an introduction of more modern and fuel efficient trucks."

We are leveraging additional potentials in growth markets with reliable, efficient high-quality trucks built at our Indian manufacturing plant. There will be continuous significant growth in this business for our FUSO and Mercedes-Benz brands.”
BharatBenz on Saturday said that it has launched its new heavy duty truck range here, equipped with a system based on "SCR technology" to meet the new BS-IV emission standards.

The company said in a statement, the opening of this new dealership which is owned and run by Espirit Trucking is an example of how DICV’s dealer network continues to proliferate deeper into domestic market regions including tier II and tier III cities.
Beyond completely built trucks and parts, DICV has already exported several hundred bus chassis produced at its bus plant, located next to the truck plant on the premises of DICV’s manufacturing complex in Oragadam near Chennai.
DICV, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, said that the demand for BharatBenz products in 2015 rose especially in the heavy-duty segment
Featuring four new generation models (914R, 1214R, 1214RE and 1217C), the new trucks are launched each in a base and a premium variant and will be commercially available at BharatBenz dealerships across India.
The luxury coach is manufactured at its plant in Oragadam here. It offers a high seating capacity of up to 61 pushback seats and 14 cubic meters of luggage space.
