The trial for the government's “single-journey ticket” project has started, officials said. “We have started a trial run for the project. DTC has partnered with Tummoc for this. We are introducing a digital all-in-one ticket. The trial run will go on for seven days so that the users can give their feedback. We will also get to know about technical glitches if there are any and will improve on them before we launch it formally,” a transport dept official said.

Four people were injured when a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus overturned in Rohini, raising concerns about the working conditions of bus drivers. DTC buses have been involved in 72 accidents this year, resulting in 19 deaths and 73 injuries. The recent accidents have been linked to drivers' health issues, including some drivers being found intoxicated while on duty. Drivers have called for stricter inspections and pre-trip checks to ensure driver fitness. DTC managing director has asked Tata Motors, which provides drivers for electric buses, to conduct health checks and eliminate drivers with health issues.

DTC had been planning to introduce High-quality premium buses on longer routes. The board approved the same to be implemented on NCR routes under 200 kms which may include Electric or CNG buses. Regarding the Intercity bus operations, DTC will be operating Bharat Stage (BS) VI buses for routes covering more than 200 kms.
