YBLF was established under the aegis of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA). It is a well-established and recognized platform for young, budding entrepreneurs in the automotive sector.
Steelbird will market a new concept-driven product to its established OEM customer base, which will be manufactured by the Israeli major. The product (soon-to-be-launched under a new name) which combines filtration technology with freshness/ perfumery, is defined as ‘Auto Wellbeing System’, the company said.
The new range consists of engine oil, grease, and fork oil. Steelbird Engine Oil is classified into several variants ideally suited for different types of two-wheelers, the company said.
The tyre range will be available in both variants, tube-less and tube-type their motorcycles and scooters.
Margins of Tier II and Tier III players, who constitute 70 per cent of the total component industry, slid by about 25 per cent, while their revenue withered by 20 per cent in the last three months.
The scheme was started in Kerala and North East in December 2018 as a pilot project.
The comprehensive range of tyres introduced in the Kerala market includes Revolve, Orbit, Infinity, Ranger, Ferro, and Voyager.
It has also launched roadside assistance for tyres in the country, the company said in a statement.
The move is a part of the company's plans to gain 20 per cent market share in two wheeler aftermarket space by 2020.
