K Gopala Desikan appointed Director and Group CFO of Sundaram-Clayton
Desikan, who has been with TVS for the past 32 years, continues to be the Chief Financial Officer of TVS Motor Company. He has handled various functions, including Direct Taxation, Treasury and Risk Management, M&A activities, Corporate Finance, and various accounting functions both at the corporate and plant level, the company said.
Sundaram Clayton to set up a plant in US, to invest Rs 750 crore in three years
The company is setting up a greenfield plant spread over 50 acres in South Carolina's Dorchester county with a capacity of 10,000 MT of aluminium casting, which will meet the needs over the next five years. The company will manufacture high pressure die cast and gravity cast parts.
TVS Motor offers Rs 1 crore to Lord Venkateswara temple
Chennai-based TVS Motor Company and Sundaram Clayton offered Rs one crore each to the hill temple in the form of a Demand Draft, Talari Ravi, PRO of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams which manages the shrine, told.
Lakshmi Venu’s role in TVS widens
Gen-next is making its presence felt in the $4-billion TVS group. Lakshmi Venu, daughter of TVS CMD Venu Srinivasan and Tafe chairman & CEO Mallika Srinivasan, currently director-strategy in auto components maker Sundaram Clayton – holding company of TVS Motor – has now been given additional senior management responsibilities in the company.
