Delhi govt set to ask SC to review ban on old petrol, diesel vehicles in city

The Delhi government is going to approach the Supreme Court with a request to review its 2018 order prohibiting the plying of 15-year-old petrol and 10-year-old diesel vehicles in Delhi NCR in line with the Centre's new voluntary vehicle scrapping policy, which looks at the vehicle's fitness as the criteria for scrapping and not age.

Huawei Launches HarmonyOS powered Smart Cockpit Solution

The Harmony Operating System (Automotive) in the cockpit is a vehicle OS developed by Huawei. It provides capabilities such as one-chip multi-screen, multi-concurrency, and runtime deterministic assurance to meet the requirements of mobility scenarios. Through HarmonyOS, a vehicle's head unit can connect with other intelligent terminals and share information, the company said adding that various hardware devices can connect to people, vehicles, and homes.

Renewal of old vehicle regn set to cost more from Oct 1

According to a MoRTH gazette notification, the renewal of registration of a two-wheeler will be Rs1,000, three-wheelers (Rs 2,500) and light motor vehicle (Rs 5,000). The renewal of registration fee for imported vehicles too will see a sharp increase. As per the notification, Rs 10,000 will be charged for two and three wheelers and Rs 40,000 for four-wheelers.

Exports up 0.67% in February; trade deficit widens to $12.62 billion

India's exports grew marginally by 0.67 per cent to $27.93 billion in February while imports rose by 6.96 per cent to $40.54 billion in the month, according to official data released on Monday. The trade deficit widened to $12.62 billion in February compared to $10.16 billion in the year-ago period, the data showed.
