Over the years, we have seen numerous highly advanced Bond cars with fancy gadgets and features. Among all, Lotus Esprit S1 used in the movie, The Spy who Loved Me, has to stand out as the one with the best feature.

In the movie, the car transformed into a mini submarine when Bond drove off a cliff into the sea during a chase sequence.

The custom built submarine was designed by US-based Perry Oceanographic Inc in 1977 for about $100,000 at the time and was named Wet Nellie.

In all, six modified Esprits were used for the filming.
