Here are the auto companies who are betting big in the EV space

Mitsubishi i-MiEV

The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is an all-electric vehicle by the Japanese automaker. The i-MiEV is powered by a 16kWh lithium-ion battery pack; and it churns out 56Ps of power and 180Nm of torque. It uses a single-speed reduction gear transmission driving the rear wheels.
Recharging is estimated to take 14 hours from a 110 volt power supply; 7 hours from a 220 volt power supply and as little as 30 minutes from a quick charging station.
