Here are the auto companies who are betting big in the EV space
Mahindra: eVerito; e2o
October 31, 2017, 14:41 ISTThe Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra have entered the Electric Vehicle (EV) space with the Mahindra eVerito and Mahindra e2o Plus.
The e2o Plus features a contemporary design language, while the eVerito is the electric variant of the Verito sedan by the automaker.
The Mahindra e2o Plus is powered by a 72V Lithium-ion battery, which churns out 41Ps of power and a peak torque of 91Nm. It comes mated to an automatic transmission gearbox. The battery takes 9 hours to charge fully and has a range of 140kms; also it can be fast-charged in one hour, for which the range would be 20kms.
While, the eVerito comes equipped with a regenerative braking system, along with a ‘boost’ mode. The Mahindra eVerito is powered by a 72V 3-phase AC induction motor with zero tailpipe emission, and generates 42Ps of power and a peak torque of 91Nm. It comes mated to a direct drive single speed transmission.
