June 27, 2015, 00:14 ISTThis is what Fiat 1100 turned into. Around 1973, the car was re-introduced as Premier Padmini, named after the 14th-century queen of Chitoor. In between the 1100 and Padmini, it also came out with the name Premier President.
The ad, describing the car as having spirit of elegance and feminine royalty, was probably among the first to target and appeal to the women buyers of the country
