The BMW i8 is powered by a 7.1kWh high voltage lithium-ion battery, an AC electric motor and BMW’s twin power 3-cylinder turbo engine which churns out 235Ps of power and a peak torque of 320Nm; while the 5kWh lithium-ion battery produces 133Ps of power and delivers a peak torque of 2500Nm; which when combined, produces 368Ps of power and 570Nm of torque.
