Toyota GR HV Sports concept

The Toyota GR HV Sports concept, unveiled at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017, is a sports car, the design language of which resembles to that of the Toyota Gazoo Racing's TS050 Hybrid racing car which competes in the World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The Toyota GR HV Sports concept features a design language of a genuine sports car which includes a Targa top, LED headlamps, aluminum wheels and a rear diffuser.

From the inside, the GR HV Sports concept features a centrally mounted automatic gear shifter, thus giving a race-car feel.

The sports car is powered by the Toyota Hybrid System - Racing (THS-R) and comes mated to a hybrid automatic transmission. Also shifting to 6-speed manual transmission with H-pattern shifting is possible by pressing a single button.

The push-button ignition switch is located on gear-shifter knob.

The hybrid battery is centrally located, thus providing improved performance.
