Toyota unveiled the next-gen JPN Taxi at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017, and the iconic taxi will be available for sale at the Toyota and Toyopet dealerships from 2018.

The JPN Taxi is a people-friendly taxi that embodies the spirit of hospitality. The design language includes a low, flat floor and sliding doors providing usability and comfort and making ingress and egress easy for a wide range of people like children, wheelchair users, seniors and tourists. With the deep indigo colour, the JPN Taxi is easily recognizable as a taxi.

The JPN Taxi is powered by a 1.5L LPG-Toyota Hybrid System II with reduction gear and runs on LPG fuel.

It is equipped with MacPherson strut-type coil spring suspension in the front and a trailing link axle-type coil spring at the rear.

For the safety purposes, the JPN Taxi is well-equipped with Toyota Safety Sense C and 6 SRS airbags.
