These days cars are not mere means of transport, they have become highly sophisticated. Car makers incorporate different features that makes us feel too comfortable and more cosseted - like we are in our own living rooms.
Lets have a look at some of these trending features.
The catchword is definitely infotainment. these days car makers don't just promise safety, but also sure shot entertainment. Cars with satellite navigation and GPS systems, smartphones that mirror tablets and easy connectivity of internet and social media are selling like hot cakes.

In the past couple of decades, more and more functions have been migrating from their traditional positions on the console or dashboard onto the steering wheel. These multi-function steering wheels improve driving safety by putting the most commonly used controls right at the driver's fingertips. Cruise control, Sound system controls and Phone answering are some of them. Some cars go even further by adding controls for air conditioning, a steering wheel heater, or even access to an on-board computer.

Driving modes allow a vehicle to have multiple personalities or characteristics in the way that it drives, rides and handles as opposed to a single set of characteristics. If your vehicle has three driving modes then you have three vehicles in one. The petrol variant of the Tata Bolt, for example, offers three driving modes – City, Eco and Sport.
What about bathing the interior of your car in subdued light when it gets dark. And what about having a multitude of lights to choose from, say a red, green, blue, orange, white, pink or turquoise. Car manufacturers have found this unique way to add a different individuality to your car.
