2016 Toyota Fortuner all you need to know

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the All New Fortuner in India at a price range of Rs 25.92 lakh - Rs 31.12 lakh (ex showroom Delhi).

New Fortuner available in two brand new colours- Phantom Brown & Avant Garde Bronze
It will compete with the likes of Ford Endeavour, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda CR-V, and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
It measures 4795 mm X 1855 mm X 1835 mm, with wheelbase gauging 2745 mm. It has a turning radius of 5.8 meters.
The All New Fortuner will be available in six grades. The New Fortuner comes with a new 2.8 L diesel engine with an All-New 6-Speed Automatic Transmission with sequential & paddle shifters and a new 2.7 L petrol engine.

The all new Fortuner gives performance of 177 PS and 450 Nm torque for the 2.8 L 6 speed automatic transmission. All-new Fortuner is also available with a refined 2.7 L petrol engine generating a performance of 166 PS & 245 Nm.
It comes equipped with Newly adopted Hill Start Assist Control & Downhill Assist Control, Electronic drive control, Eco & Power drive modes, Newly adopted Active Traction Control, Impact absorbing structure with pedestrian protection support, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes with Antilock Braking System, Electronic Brake force Distribution & Brake Assist.

Some other important features include 7 SRS airbags, Vehicle stability control, Speed auto lock with emergency unlock, WIL-Safe (Whiplash Injury Lessening) front seats , ISOFIX Child Seat Mount and Tether Anchor, and All row three point Emergency Locking Retractor seatbelts with Pre Tensioner & Force Limiter in front row.
It features New 7” tablet inspired touch screen Infotainment with Navigation, New dark brown interiors, LED coordinated cabin lights, New optitron cool blue combimeter with large TFT multi-info display, Second row one touch tumble seats, Cooled upper glove box, Tilt & telescopic steering column, and Park assist with back monitor & rear sensors.
It has new exterior design such as Auto Bi-beam LED with DRLs, Smart entry with push start, New tough & urban alloy designs (17” & 18”), Chromium finished surround window beltline, Fully automatic power back door with height adjust memory & jam protection, and LED rear combination lamps with aerofins.
Almost taking cues from the premium SUVs, earlier the LED lights were rectangular tail lamps but now horizontal which add a lot of beauty to the vehicle.
The new Fortuner has been embellished with new features and spruced up overall design apart from sporting new engine and transmission. The chassis has also gone for an overhaul with improved NVH.
On the rear view of the Fortuner, there have been a lot of noticeable changes, as it looks leaner, sharper, and sleeker due to the new LED taillights.
