2018 Volkswagen Polo: Important things to know

German carmaker Volkswagen on 16 June 2017 unveiled the sixth generation of its most popular model Polo hatchback at a world premiere in Berlin
The company claims that it had sold more than 14 million units of Polo till date. Including all different versions, the Polo has even sold over 16 million units worldwide.
Sharp head lamps and imposed fog lamps gives Polo bolder look. The new Polo has been made bigger than its predecessor in every dimension.
The new Polo will boast all black interiors with a option to customise the dashpads in a multitude of décors and have an options of eleven different seat covers.
New Volkswagen Polo will come with four petrol and two diesel engines, all equipped as standard with start/stop system and regenerative braking mode. Every engine with a power output of 70 kW or above can be combined with a dual clutch gearbox (DSG).
Similar to the older generations, the steering is flat from the bottom and houses all the major control of the car.
Apart from the regular variants like Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. The company will offer special edition Polo Beats (with features including a 300-watt sound system) and the sporty top model, the Polo GTI (delivering 147 kW / 200 PS), provide added variety.
The company has brought out a total of 14 exterior colours and 12 wheels (14- to 18-inch, some painted in contrasting colour).
The company has kept a price tag of €12,9751. The new Polo is expected to launch next year.
