All-new 2017 Jeep Compass

Jeep first unveiled its Compass SUV at the 2016 LA Motor Show and Fiat Chrysler Automobile also revealed its intentions to tap emerging markets like Brazil, China and India.
Jeep Compass SUV is based on the ‘small wide 4X4 architecture’ that underpins the Jeep Renegade. It can be regarded as a compact SUV and globally will be available in four different trim configurations.
Jeep Compass follows design elemets from its elder sibling Jeep Grand Cherokee. The SUV gets seven slot front grille, headlamp bezels and on the rear the car gets integrated LED tail lamps.
Jeep Compass is likely to get black-beige finished interiors and will also host a 7-inch infotainment system which will support features like Apple Car Play, Google Android Auto.
Jeep Compass SUV will get a large boot space and like its rivals will not host third-row seating. The car takes on the likes of Honda CR-V & Hyundai Tuscon.
Jeep Compass will get bot 4X2 and 4X4 variants since the launch. This will be the fourth SUV in company's India portfolio. Jeep’s current product portfolio comes to India as completely built units (CBU) and price ranges from Rs 71.59 lakh to 1.12 crore.
The India spec Jeep Compass SUV will be revealed in April 2017 followed by launch in August. The SUV will be manufactured at the company's Ranjangaon facility. Expect the company to launch the car in both petrol and diesel variants mated to a 7-speed gearbox.
Fiat's Ranjangaon facility in Maharashtra will also be a global hub for the company's all Right-Hand-Drive vehicles. Apart from this the company's plant in Mexico and China will also be manufacturing the SUV.
Expect Jeep India to be aggressive with its pricing. We also expect Jeep to increase the localized content on the car to up to 80%. Jeep Compass SUV will be priced between Rs 20 - 25 lakh (ex-Showroom)
