All New Mini Clubman launched in India: Check the car inside out

The all-new Mini Clubman has been launched in India for Rs 37.9 lakh (ex showroom Delhi), and will be available at Mini dealerships as a Completely Built-Up unit.
Fifth product in its Indian portfolio the Clubman was considered as a station wagon of the small cars. It entered production in 1969 to 1981.

The first generation of the new version of the Clubman was developed under the supervision of BMW in 2007.
The Mini Clubman is 270 mm longer, 90 mm wider than the Mini-5 door hatch with an additional 100mm wheelbase.

This has resulted in increased boot capacity of 360 litres which can be extended to up to 1,250 litres.
The 2-litre 4-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo Technology of the all-new Mini Clubman mobilises a peak output of 141 kW/192 hp and a maximum torque of 280 Nm torque.

It sprints from 100 km/hr in 7.2 seconds and the top speed is 228 km/hr.

The standard 8-speed automatic steptronic transmission is available in a Mini for the first time.
In addition to the standard MID mode there is a choice of SPORT and GREEN mode.
The Mini comes with Radio Mini Visual Boost. Full functionality is available through the app downloaded via iTunes or Google Play Store.

Bluetooth mobile connectivity, AUX-IN socket, USB interface guarantee round the clock infotainment.
The rear gets the signature two-door tailgate with chrome handles with the Clubman badging right below them.

The lower portion also gets a plastic cladding and houses the dual chrome-tipped exhaust pipes.
Mini is offering dual-tone alloy wheels in its Cooper S Clubman. There is an option to choose from accessories options from either 18” light alloy wheels or a 19” John Cooper Works course spokes 2-tone.
Optional Electrically adjustable seats with memory function for the driver and front passenger have been introduced for the first time in a Mini.
The all new Mini Clubman's standard safety equipment comprises of Front and Passenger Airbags, Brake Assist, 3-Point Seat Belts, Dynamic Stability Control, Crash Sensor, Anti-lock Braking System, Cornering Brake Control and Run-flat Indicator.
The optional Mini Wired package offers an 8.8 inch touch screen with Touchpad controller, Navigation System Professional, Mini Connected XL and a 20 GB internal hard drive for all media storage.
The interior of the Mini features LED interior and ambient lighting which illuminates the cabin with a choice of selectable colours as well as the projection of the Mini logo from the exterior mirror on the driver's side when opening and closing the car door.
The car is based on the same front-wheel-drive based UKL platform on which the other Minis are based and shares its design cues with Cooper S.
