Auto Expo 2016: Vehicles that made everyone go crazy
First introduced at the 2012 edition of the Auto Expo in the form of the YBA concept, the Vitara Brezza is Maruti Suzuki's first attempt at developing a compact SUV.
The sub-4 metre car will come in a diesel form. It will be launched with 1.3-litre unit sourced from Fiat that cranks up 90PS and 200Nm. The 200 DDIS engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The car will be sold via Maruti's premium sub-brand Nexa. The car will lock horns with the likes of the Ford Ecosport and the Mahindra TUV at a base price of Rs 6-8 lakh.
The Ignis was first showcased in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show last year where it was called the iM-4. Maruti Suzuki has developed the Ignis keeping in mind the rapidly growing mini-SUV segment.
The all new Ignis is set to get two different engine options.
While it may get the 1.2-litre petrol mill that makes 84.3PS and 115Nm of torque, it could also come with the Fiat sourced 1.3-litre 4-cylinder diesel mill that makes 90PS and 190Nm. Both these engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The new Chevrolet Spin will go up against the likes of the Renault Lodgy, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Honda Mobilio. Chevrolet also has the Enjoy MPV which will continue to be sold alongside the Spin.
The Spin is larger than the Enjoy and will comfortably sit up to 7 people. The new Spin is 4360 mm in length, 1735 mm in width and 1656 mm in height.
In terms of engines the Chevrolet Spin MPV will get a 1.4-litre petrol mill that makes 104PS of peak power and 131Nm of peak torque along with a diesel 1.3-litre engine that makes 90PS of peak power.
The new model headlines Chevrolet's plan to increase its presence on Indian roads by tackling the fiercely competitive A-segment.
The car will come with state of the art connectivity and technology including Apple Car Play, Android Auto and Chevrolet's latest MyLink infotainment system.

The New Duster range includes 6 speed Easy – R Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
The New Duster is powered by K9K 1.5L engine, and has 210mm of ground clearance. This 5-seater comes with 475 litres of boot space that can be extended to 1636 litres.
The new Duster will also come with an exciting new colour – Cayenne Orange.
