Cars that brought Geneva Motor Show to life

British company Arash revealed its second generation of AF10. It has a supercharged V8 which churns out about 900bhp power in hybrid system, and 295bhp in electric motor. It has a top speed of 200mph, passing 60mph from rest in just 2.8secs.
China-based car company TechRules unveiled the AT96 TREV electric supercar at the Geneva Motor Show 2016. Rather than a traditional petrol powered engine, this system uses a micro-turbine to generate electricity and charge a 20 kilowatt hour Lithium-Manganese-Oxide battery pack. It propels to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. The reported top speed is 217 mph.

South Korea's Power Plaza unveiled its new Yebbujana R2. It comes with 81 kW hour lithium ion battery, mated to a five speed manual transmission.

It accelerates to 62 miles per hour in four seconds and has a maximum speed of 123 mph.
Danish supercar manufacturer Zenvo Automotive's TS1 comes equipped with 5.9 litre V8 engine. The company, in their website, said that the exterior of the car is "inspired by the muscular tension of the lioness stalking its prey".
The open-top two-seater roadster makes 360 hp and hits 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
Bugatti unveiled the world's fastest road car at the Geneva auto show: the 2.4 million euro ($2.6 million) Chiron with a 1,500 horsepower engine that can hit 420 kilometres per hour.
The Swedish company Koenigsegg unveiled the production version of the Regera, a super-fast hybrid sportscar with a 5-liter V8 twin-turbo engine.

It can accelerate from 0 to 185 miles per hour in approximately 11 seconds. It has an EV plug-in feature too, which means the battery can be charged either by the combustion engine or through the charging port.

Only 80 of these super-fast hybrid cars are being made to the tune of about $2 million each.
The Rolls Royce Dawn is based on the Wraith. The roof of the Dawn retracts at a speed of 30mph in 21 seconds. It is powered by the same twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 engine as used by the Ghost. The Dawn can get from 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds and reach a limited 155mph.
Volkswagen presented world premiere of its open-top T-Cross Breeze concept car which is a compact SUV. It is the first open-top SUV.
The new version of the up! will cater to the small car segment. It offers a choice of petrol engines, natural gas or electric motor.

In addition to new exterior colours, seat covers and dashpads, the up! comes with smartphone integration: the smartphone seamlessly bonds with the vehicle via an app and becomes on-board computer, navigation system and music player all in one.
Skoda Auto displayed its SUV VisionS at the Motor Show, whose design is influenced by the tradition of Bohemian crystal art.

Its larger than compact SUV Yeti, and is Skoda's first vehicle to feature six seats across three rows. It is based on Volkswagen Group's Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB).
Audi showcased its all-new compact SUV 'Q2' at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Audi Q2 is expected to be positioned below Q3.

It will come with a selection of six different engines, and will get the options of a six-speed manual transmission, and also the S tronic dual clutch transmission with seven speeds for all engines.

Audi informed that Q2 will launched in the European market in autumn of 2016 and the booking will begin mid-year for this compact SUV.
Tata Motors showcased its hatchback - Tiago, which is expected to get launched in India somewhere around March 2016.

To be available in both petrol and diesel engines, it is expected to be priced between Rs 3.59 lakh - Rs 5.59 lakh, and is aimed at first-time car buyers.
The Kite 5 is the codename of the compact sedan sibling of the Tiago hatchback. The compact, expected to enter the Indian market in the second half of this year, comes with the same engines and specifications of the hatchback.
The new Megane Estate GT features 4CONTROL with four-wheel steering and Renault Sport styling cues.
It will be available for sale in September 2016.

For the first time in the compact MPV segment, a comprehensive suite of driving aids including AEBS (Automatic Emergency Braking System) with Pedestrian Detection as standard equipment for all versions has been added.

It shares features with the new Espace. It will be available in both petrol and diesel engines.
The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. It has been built upon Carrera Cabriolet's standard features list with torque vectoring, PASM, upsized front brakes with six-piston calipers, and 20-inch wheels.

It compete with the likes of Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, Audi R8 Spyder, Jaguar F-Type, BMW 6-Series convertible and the Jaguar XKR convertible.
The latest model of the Opel Astra has been named Europe's 2016 Car of the Year, at Geneva International Motor Show.
Lotus unveiled at the show, the Evora Sport 410 which weighs 2921 pounds and will hit 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Top speed is 186 mph.

This is all achieved on a 410-horsepower, six- cylinder engine.
The Lamborghini Centenario comes equipped with V12, 60 degree, MPI engine which gives out maximum power at 770 CV (566 kW) @ 8,500 RPM, and maximum torque at 690 Nm (507 lbft) @ 5,500 RPM. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 350 km/h.
Hyundai’s answer to the Toyota Prius, is the new Ioniq which was revealed in all three of its forms in Geneva - hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric.

The hybrid version uses a 104hp 1.6-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine, combined with a 43hp electric motor, with the combined output set at 139hp and 195lb ft (265Nm) of torque.

Hyundai chose a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox over a traditional-for-a-hybrid CVT solution.

The plug-in hybrid Ioniq adds a 60hp electric motor and a 8.9kWh battery pack to offer more than 31 miles (50km) of electric driving range.

As for the all-electric Ioniq, this uses a 28kWh lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor that produces 118hp and 217lb ft (295Nm) of instant torque to offer a driving range of over 155 miles (250km) with the help of a single-speed gearbox.

Another one from Tata Motors' kitty. The Hexa Tuff is powered by the same 2.2-litre Varicor 400 turbo-diesel engine, which makes 154bhp power and 40.79kgm of torque, as the standard Hexa. It is equipped with four driving modes – Auto, Comfort, Dynamic and Rough Road – and also gets an AWD system.
Ferrari has unveiled its new four seater Grand Tourer concept GTC4Lusso at the Geneva Motor Show. It integrates rear-wheel steering with four-wheel drive for the first time.

It comes equipped with 6,262cc V12 that punches out a maximum of 690 cv at a 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 697 Nm at 5,750 rpm, with 80% available at just 1,750 rpm, the GTC4Lusso delivers a top speed of 335 km/h and sprints from 0 to 100 km in 3.4 seconds.

Based on the latest, fourth generation of the Side Slip Control, the new Ferrari-patented 4RM-S system integrates and controls the 4RM Evo four-wheel drive's PTU (Power Transfer Unit), the rear-wheel steering, E-Diff and SCM-E active damping.
Ferrari also displayed California T with brand-new Handling Speciale (HS) package. The package will deliver extra sporty edge with a series of a new set-up and specific calibrations. The package was also unveiled at the Swiss auto show.

Another California T being displayed is a special Tailor Made version. It has deep red transverse racing stripe and a Heritage Bordeaux leather interior.

This DS E-Tense concept is an all-electric GT car which uses a three-speed gearbox. It will go from 0-62mph in 4.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 155mph.
Dacia’s stand at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show features the Duster Essential which introduces a new series of limited-edition versions of the Duster, Sandero, Logan, Logan MCV, Dokker and Lodgy.

Exterior features include a new body colour (Tourmaline Brown) and new alloy wheels, along with specific badging and body colour bumpers. Inside, passengers benefit from Bluetooth and USB connectivity, electric front windows and central locking.

The markets where this series of limited-edition Dacias will be available include Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
