Here is the complete look of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza

India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has launched its much awaited sub-compact sports utility vehicle 'Vitara Brezza' at a very aggressive price of Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.68 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi.

Vitara Brezza gets DDiS 200 engine mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. The company claims it delivers a fuel efficiency of 24.3 km per litre.

Available only in diesel variant, Vitara Brezza is priced at Rs 1 lakh - Rs 1.2 lakh lower than its immediate competitors Ford EcoSport Diesel and it undercuts Mahindra TUV 300 with Rs 12,000 to Rs 25,000 depending on the variant.

The production of the vehicle has already begun.
‘Bull Horn’ shaped LED light guide in headlamps and rear combination lamps, projector headlamps with auto function ‘On/Off’, unique cockpit style instrument cluster with mood lights, large tyres and SMARTPLAY infotainment are some of the first-in-class features in Vitara Brezza.

On offer are theme based personalisation options - Glamour, Urban, and Sporty.

It is the first car in the country that is certified for offset and side impact crash tests which will be enforced in India in 2017.

Vitara Brezza embodies Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) concept for occupant protection. Hi-tensile steel brings strength along with low body weight.

While driver airbag is a standard on all variants, front passenger airbag and ABS with EBD is offered as an option from base variant onwards.

The interiors of Vitara Brezza reveal a contemporary dashboard with futuristic layout. Customers get a choice of 5 preset colours in the speedometer, which they can choose as per their mood.

With a height of 1640 mm, Vitara Brezza offers ample headroom. It has a boot space of 328 litre, and can be extended with the flip folded seats and 60:40 rear split.

Other features on Vitara Brezza include rain sensing wipers, auto headlight, cruise control, air-cooled upper box, card holder in glove box, among others.

Kenichi Ayukawa, MD of Maruti Suzuki India told ETAuto "In a couple of years of we would want to be number 1 in the segment. If the segment grows to about 1.5 to 2 lakh units per annum, we would aim at 45-50% segment share."

Vitara Brezza, expected to be priced between Rs 5 -8 lakh, will give strong competition to Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra TUV300.
