Ducati Monster 797 explained in pictures

Ducati says "the Monster 797 provides a gateway to the Ducati world, for those looking for an easy, intuitive ride as well as sheer sports enjoyment." It is an entry level naked sportsbike from the Italian bike manufacturer and sits below Monster 821 and Monster 1200.
Ducati Monster 797 gets company's traditional elements along with modern components. It follows the Ducati Monster design language. The motorcycle integrates the wide handlebar, tank, trellis frame, engine and double-sided swing-arm and gives that sporty look of the Monster family.
Ducati has added circular headlights for the classic look and is equipped with LED position lights. Overall design is bold and the muscular lines running across the body gives its an aggressive look.
To fully exploit the horsepower of the Desmodue, the Monster 797 is equipped with a fully adjustable 43mm front fork and a rear shock with adjustable preload and rebound. The Brembo brakes and Bosch 9.1 MP ABS as standard.
Indian arm of the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Ducati is going to launch its entry level sports naked bike - Ducati Monster 797 in India in July 2017, a source close to the company confirmed to ETAuto.
The integrated trellis frame, just like the first Monster, together with the chassis with short wheelbase ensure better manoeuvrability and agility. Ducati claims expert riders will appreciate the handling and the ease with which it changes direction.
Ducati has introduced 2 in 1 exhaust on its Monster 797 to optimize fluid dynamics to avoid over-heating.
Ducati's entry level sports bike will be positioned at par with Ducati Scrambler and also shares the engine with Ducati's current entry level motorcycle in India.
Ducati Monster 797 is powered by an air-cooled engine with a displacement of 803cc shedding a power of 75 hp and 68 Nm of torque. The engine and tuning is similar to that of Scramblers.
The clean slim line on the baby Monster are in fact the motorcycle's structural components. The wheelbase of the Ducati Monster 797 is 1435 mm, smaller than that of Ducati Scrambler.
We expect Ducati to price the youngest member of its Monster family at about Rs 7 lakh mark. The company might surprise us by positioning it below Ducati Scrambler.
