Electric Vehicles that should come to India

The Nissan Leaf is a compact five-door hatchback electric car manufactured by Nissan and introduced in Japan and the United States in December 2010, followed by various European countries and Canada in 2011.
Nissan Leaf's electric motor produces 80 kW of power and 280 Nm of torque. Nissan Leaf's 2017 model is priced at $30,680 (around Rs 20.8 lakh) and has a range of up to 107 miles.
Hyundai Motor's electric version of Ioniq is likely to go on production during early 2017.

It features 28 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery that delivers an EPA-rated all-electric range of 200 km.

The Ioniq Electric has a 88 kW (120 PS) electric motor with 295 Nm of torque, and can be charged up to 80% in 33 minutes at 50 kW or in 24 minutes at 100 kW with a DC fast charging station.
Renault Zoe is a five-door supermini electric car. Earlier Zoe had a 22 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivered a range between 210 - 240 km. In September 2016, Renault announced the introduction of an optional 41 kWh lithium-ion battery, increasing the range to 400 km.
At the Paris Motor Show 2016, Sumit Sawhney, MD & CEO, Renault India said, "This all electric car is also likely to come to India. As the government wants at least 150 km range for EVs, we are sure our car ZOE will be very suitable as it has a range of 400 km."
The Chevrolet Bolt EV is an all-electric subcompact car which delivers an all-electric range of 383 km. Production for the model year 2017 began in November 2016. It is priced at $29,995 (around Rs 20.3 lakh).
Volkswagen's e-Golf electric vehicle can go up to an estimated 83 miles per charge, and comes equipped with 115hp electric motor.
It features three driving modes - Normal, Eco, and Eco+, and has front assist, park pilot, and park assist.
The Tesla Model 3 is an all-electric four-door compact luxury sedan. Unveiled on March 31, 2016, Tesla anticipates the Model 3 will deliver an all-electric range of at least 346 km.

Elon Mush, in a tweet, has said that Tesla has added more countries including India, Brazil, South Africa, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore and Ireland to the Model 3 order page.
The BMW i3 is the automaker's first zero emissions mass-produced vehicle. This vehicle gets its power from an electric motor powered by lithium-ion batteries.
Daimler's Smart brand has also launched its electric drive vehicles - the Smart Fortwo electric drive.

This microcar is currently available in 18 markets. The company unveiled fourth-generation of the car at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
The Audi e-tron family is a series of electric and hybrid concept cars shown by Audi from 2009 onwards. The company is likely to bring the e-tron concept cars, showcased at Detroit and Frankfurt shows, to India.
