Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione - The new hot hatch in town

Fiat brought its performance oriented brand Abarth in India by launching the Abarth 595 Competizione on August 4. The hot hatchback has been priced at Rs 29.85 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.
Abarth 595 Competizione is powered by a 1.4 litre 4 cylinder Turbo T-Jet engine which produces a max power of 160 HP @ 5500 rpm and a Max torque of 206 Nm @ 2000 rpm. The car gets a sports mode where the torque goes up to 230 Nm @ 3000 rpm.
The car measures just 3657 mm in length and 1893 mm in width. However, don't be fooled by its dimensions. The company claims this car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 7.4s and has a top speed of 210 kmph.
The car gets a minimalistic interiors and the all-black treatment. To dispel any doubts about its genesis, the dashboards wears the name of the car on which it is based - the Fiat 500.
Abarth 595 Competizione comes mated to an automated manual transmission, but has a manual override available for fun times.
The wheelbase of just 2300 mm does not leave too much room for back seat adult passengers. Though, small kids should be able to fit themselves in to the back seat
The deep bucket seats ensure that you are firmly planted in your position even when taking fast corners.
Abarth 595 Competizione boasts of a decent boot area enough for a couple of big suitcases.
The car comes in 4 colours namely Campovolo Grey, Scorpione Black, Iridato White and Cordolo Red. Seen here is Campovolo Grey.

This car will be sold through exclusive dealerships. At the time of the launch, Fiat had listed four showrooms on its website, one each in Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and New Delhi.
Fiat has announced that after Abarth 595 competizione, it will soon launch the Punto Evo Abarth and will also launch the sports version of its crossover Avventura.Putno Evo Abarth was also on display at the launch of the Abarth 595 Competizione.
