From Nissan's Godzilla to Maseratis, New York Auto Show 2016 has them all

World's first megacar One:1 from Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg costs around $3 million (around Rs 20 crore).

It accelerates from 0-300km/hr in 17.95 seconds. Only 7 examples of this car exist and the display car in the Show is the only one that resides in the United States.

Here comes the 'Godzilla'. First introduced in 2007, the refreshed GT-R (which the company calls 'Godzilla') faced its global debut at the Show.

The GT-R's 3.8-liter V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged engine now delivers 565 HP at 6800 rpm and 467 lb-ft of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
This concept form of the full size luxury SUV faced its world debut at the Show.

It features gull wing doors like Tesla Model X.

However, the sad part is the gull wing doors wont appear at the production model.

Mazda MX-5 sports car, known as the Roadster in Japan, won the 2016 World Car of the Year award at the New York International Auto Show.

It also took the World Car Design award for 2016.

It is the first Japanese car to be selected as the World Car of the Year since 2011, when Nissan Motor's Leaf electric vehicle won the award.
Acura unveiled NSX GT3 racecar, announcing its intention to campaign the twin-turbocharged NSX supercar in North America starting in 2017.

The NSX GT3 will be powered by a 3.5-liter, 75-degree, twin turbocharged DOHC V-6 engine using the same design specifications as the engine in the production 2017 Acura NSX.

The engine will be paired with a 6-speed, sequential-shift racing gearbox, delivering power to the rear wheels.

Acura will begin the serial production of the next-generation NSX supercar in late April, and customer deliveries will commence immediately thereafter.
Italian luxury car manufacturer Maserati's first SUV - the 2017 Levante was officially debuted at the 2016 Geneva auto show.

It is expected the Levante will be available with both diesel and gasoline engines, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The company has already started production of the SUV at its ​Mirafiori plant in Turin.
South Korea's second-largest automobile manufacturer Kia Motors premiered the all-new 2017 Cadenza at the New York International Auto Show.

The Cadenza improves upon all the elements that made its predecessor an award-winning success, boasting a precisely crafted cabin, cutting edge technology for connectivity and driver assistance, a stronger body structure, and powertrain enhancements for a more premium experience behind the wheel.
The Show witnessed world premiere of the 2017 Mercedes AMG E 43.

Equipped with two larger turbochargers and the associated software applications, the 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine in the E 43 delivers 295 kW (401 hp).

The AMG Performance 4MATIC all wheel drive comes as standard.
Audi unveiled its new R8 Spyder V10 at the Show 2016, and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 318 km/h.

It comes equipped with 5.2-liter engine which gives maximum power of 397 kW (540 hp) and 540 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, mated to a 7-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission.
"The New York Concept is a progressive concept car that showcases the design quality of the brand," Genesis boss Manfred Fitzgerald said.

The Camaro ZL1, which puts out 640 HP, is now almost as powerful as Chevrolet’s more famous sports car Corvette.
This Tesla Model 3 competitor is projected to receive over 600 miles of total range. It has both electric as well as hybrid driving modes.
The all-new 2017 Impreza debuts the Subaru Global Platform architecture.

Also new, multimedia features including standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and standard Near Field Communication connectivity debut on Impreza.

The new Impreza will be available in base, Premium, Sport and Limited trim lines when it arrives in Subaru dealerships in late 2016.

Its 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Boxer engine churns out 152 Hp.
This is the first new Porsche to use a four-cylinder turbo boxer engine. It’s named after the four-banger, mid-engined racers from the 1950s and 1960s.

This new Boxster starts at a friendly $56,000 (around Rs 37 lakh) and will be available around June.

Hyundai showcased 2017 Ioniq in three forms - Hybrid, Plug-in, and Electric.

It will compete with the likes of Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius family, and Ford Focus Electric.

This concept is specifically for the American market. It is expected to churn out 300 hp from 2.0 litre turbo, six speed transmission engine.
It will comes in gasoline as well as hybrid variant. The V8 engine will have 467 hp, while for the hybrid variant it will come down to 113 hp.

The Envision is Buick's first offering that will be sold in the US after being made in China. (Buick produced it to compete with the likes of the Acura RDX and Lincoln MKC.)

It has a 252-horsepower turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission.

BMW Alpina features a 4.4-liter V8 bi-turbo engine that gets 600 horsepower with 590 pounds-feet of torque.

As the successor to the Alpina B6, it will hit 62 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 193 mph.
