High Profile Appointments in Auto Industry in 2016

General Motors elected its CEO Mary Barra to take on the added role of chairman at the company. She replaced former Cummins Diesel Chairman and CEO Theodore Solso
Harman appointed it's CFO Pradeep Chaudhry as the company's Country Manager for India operations. He succeeded M Lakshmi Narayan.
Tata Motors hired former Airbus Chief Operating Officer Guenter Butschek as its managing director and chief executive of local operations, filling up the positions left vacant after the death of Karl Slym in January 2014.
Honda Cars India appointed Yoichiro Ueno as the new President & CEO with effect from April 1, 2016. He took over from Katsushi Inoue.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor appointed Akito Tachibana as the new managing director. The appointment came into effect from April 1, 2016. He succeeded Naomi Ishii.
Bosch India appointed Vijay Pandey as the Regional President of the Automotive Aftermarket division of the company, as well as of Saarc region. The previous head of the Automotive Aftermarket division, Guenter Weber returned to Germany.

Mercedes-Benz appointed Michael Jopp as the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing in India, effective August 1, 2016. The new appointment comes into effect as Boris Fitz, Vice-President, Sales and Network Development, completed his tenure in India.
