India bound Maruti Suzuki Ignis: This is how it will look

Suzuki Motor Corporation launched the IGNIS, a new-genre mini crossover of compact car and SUV in Japan.

It is priced at 1.382 million Yen (around Rs 8 lakh).

The compact body size has an overall length of 3,700mm and overall width of 1,660mm.

It has a ground clearance of 180mm.

It is available in three distinct variants - MG, MX and MZ with each variant being further available with standard 2WD or optional AWD.

All variants are powered by 1,242 cc four-cylinder K12C DualJet with VVT with mild-hybrid technology.

The engine churns out power of 91 PS and 118 Nm of torque.
Its functionality is enhanced with the rear seat sliding function, enabling arrangement of luggage space to meet various usages.

It also comes equipped with a navigation system that has a built-in memory compatible with Apple CarPlay.

Various safety features such as Dual Camera Brake Support (DCBS), SRS front side airbags, and SRS curtain airbags are also offered.
The Suzuki Ignis includes dual front, side and curtain airbags, ABS and EBD, lane departure warning, ESP, Hill-Hold, Hill Descent control, automatic headlights with automatic leveling, LED headlights and LED foglights.
The Suzuki Ignis is priced as follows:

MG 2WD - 1.382 million Yen (Rs 8 lakh)

MG 4WD - 1.519 million Yen (Rs 8.78 lakh)

MX 2WD - 1.501 million Yen (Rs 8.68 lakh)

MX 4WD - 1.638 million Yen (Rs 9.47 lakh)

MZ 2WD - 1.641 million Yen (Rs 9.49 lakh)

MZ 4WD - 1.778 million Yen (Rs 10.29 lakh)
The smart compact urban concept vehicle will be unveiled on February 4 at Delhi Auto Expo 2016.

The Concept Ignis is bold and unconventional in many other ways and is set to create waves among India’s fast maturing compact car customers.
