Mahindra TUV300 - Glimpses of the interiors and exterior

Mahindra TUV300 was introduced to the world through this sketch of the vehicle. Apart from the additional accessories shown in the sketch, the final product is quite close to what we see here.
The company had said that TUV300 is not going to be a crossover but a "true blue SUV" and that it will ensure it will have all the requirements that users would like to see in this new segment
Mahindra has shown the steering wheel which is an all-new three spoke wheel with audio and telephony controls.
The SUV, which will be manufactured at M&M's future ready manufacturing facility is expected to be priced competitively to take on the might of Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport
The sloping roof line and much-stronger looking side profile do give TUV300 a purposeful stance, unlike Quanto. Mahindra took the help of Italian design house Pininfarina for the design of this SUV
The backward slanting front grill, the headlight design and the rectangular wheel give it a little resemblance to Bolero.
Except for minor changes like the placement of tail-lights, and of course, the size of the tailgate-mounted wheel, the rear portion looks quite similar to Quanto, another SUV from Mahindra
The SUV will be manufactured at M&M's future ready manufacturing facility. The new TUV300 will be slotted in the same band as Bolero. However, TUV300 is not expected to replace the Bolero but sell alongside it. It is expected to be powered by a 1.5 litre mHawk80 engine.
It is expected have a seven-seat configuration with 5 front-facing and two side-facing seats.
Launched on September 10, TUV300 is priced between Rs 6.9 - 9.12 lakh (ex showroom Pune)
The compact SUV comes in seven trims namely T4, T4+, T6, T6+, T6+AMT, T8, T8+AMT; and six exterior colour options. Inside, it gets dual-tone dashboard
Bold grille with chrome inserts, imposing bumpers, static bending headlamps, stylish ski racks, sporty alloy wheels, high ground clearance and tailgate-mounted spare wheel which reflect the spirit of a tough design.
Paying heed to the safety concerns that are now increasingly voiced in the industry, Mahindra has made ABS and dual airbag optional right from the base variant.
Mahindra has also introduced the automated-manual transmission (AMT) as an option in the mid (T6+) and top-end (T8+) trims
Its slick static bending headlamps and chrome accented fog lamps, make it loo right at home and on city streets too. With this Mahindra & Mahindra is looking to enhance its market share in the utility vehicles segment.
It will have the eco drive mode and the micro hybrid system seen in Scorpio and XUV500 as well.
Mahindra & Mahindra will start exporting sub-four metre TUV300 to South Africa and neighbouring countries. It is developed with a total investment of Rs 1500 crore which include about Rs 300 crore from the suppliers.
