The redi-GO combines Datsun's familiar grille, mixing a five-door hatchback's practicality with a rugged SUV stance.
The redi-GO that was showcased at the Auto Expo had short overhangs and crossover-style raised body and twin character lines running from the front to the rear.
The concept also has modern headlights that incorporates narrow daytime running lights and the rear LED taillights feature an "idiosyncratic" twist of light to give the concept a unique visual signature whilst on the move.
The model will be based on the Datsun Redi-Go concept that was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2014.
The redi-GO featured 15-inch alloy wheels and has a wheelbase of 2,350 mm.
It will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Eon and the Maruti Alto.
Nissan India will launch a fresh salvo at the dominant small-car market early in 2016, but this time it will have a total of 60 dealerships to back up its product. The 60 new dealerships will be exclusive to the Datsun brand and will mostly come up in the rural areas of the country.
