MG eZS electric SUV: All you need to know

The car is expected to be launched in India in the fourth quarter of 2019 as the second offering from the brand after Hector SUV. The price in India is estimated to fall in the range of Rs 24 lakh to Rs 26 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MG ZS gets a large grille in front with black mesh design and chrome surround. It also features a sporty bumper, rectangular fog lamps, black cladding, skid plate etc.

Rear gets wraparound LED taillights, integrated roof spoilers and sporty bumpers.

The MG ZS interiors sport leather steering wheel and leather gear selector as standard. It also features keyless entry with push-button start and ‘Stargazer’ panoramic glass roof with sunshade.

MG ZS EV provides customers stress-free driving experience with the MG Pilot, which includes Advanced Emergency Braking, Blindspot Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control.

MG ZS has got leather style seat with driver's 4-way manual adjustable seat and 2nd row proportional foldable seat.

The MG ZS EV gets the latest generation of the automaker's responsive infotainment system with an 8-inch colour touchscreen loaded with satellite navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPLay, Bluetooth audio streaming and DAB radio.

It offers 262 km range on a single charge with the lithium-ion battery getting a seven-year warranty. The motor is powered by a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can be charged up to 80 per cent in 43 minutes when plugged into a 50 kW fast charger.

In UK, the company is providing for a free home charging point and standard installation.

The eZS will be up against the recently launched Hyundai Kona Electric which is competitively priced at Rs 25.3 lakh (ex-showroom India).
