Paris Motor Show: What all were there in Day 1

The SHVS mild hybrid system which is Ciaz and Ertiga hybrids, will now also be available in Baleno hybrid.
The Baleno SHVS is present in European markets. In India, the vehicle sold 8,671 units in August 2016
Suzuki unveiled the SX4 S-CROSS facelift for the European market, and its sales roll out began this summer only.
The SX4 S-CROSS launched in 2013 was the successor of the Suzuki SX4 which went on sale in 2006.

The SX4 S-CROSS facelift also offers a choice of two Suzuki BOOSTERJET direct-injection turbo engines (1.0L and 1.4L).
For the European market, Suzuki also unveiled the new IGNIS compact crossover.

Sales of the new IGNIS are scheduled to begin in Europe in January 2017. It features the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle System by Suzuki).
Maruti Suzuki is likely to manufacture the fourth-generation Jimny in India. It is expected to make debut in the country in 2017.

It is also expected that Jimny would be powered by a 1.0 L Boosterjet petrol engine.
This new crossover by Renault is going to be launched in India next year. It is already available in Russia, and soon will go to Brazil.
Renault Captur is based on based on the Duster platform. It is likely to take on the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson and the Tata Hexa.
Renault Captur comes with keyless entry, ignition and locking for all versions.

It is also available with the MEDIA NAV system which covers all the basic multimedia functions.
The driver has a driving position of 708 mm from the ground. The rear bench seat accommodates three adults.

It’s boot volume is 387 liters and carrying capacity increases to 1,200 liters with the 60/40-split bench in the fully-folded position.
New Renault concept car, TREZOR sets the design vision for the next generation of Renault models and technology investments.

It is an all-electric GT concept-car which accelerates from 0-100 kph in less than four seconds.
With red as the predominant colour, and an accent on high-quality materials, including wood and leather, a blend of craftsmanship, technology and a truly French design touch is clearly visible.
It features high-definition screens, smartphone recognition and connectivity, and personalizable touch-screen interfaces.

The TREZOR offers a choice of three driving modes: neutral, sport and autonomous. The autonomous driving mode can be activated using the MULTI-SENSE menu.
Renault launched ZOE which will be available for immediate sale with the Z.E. 40 battery enabling it to travel 400 km NEDC (equivalent to a real-world range of 300 km in urban or suburban areas) on a single charge.

The ZOE is already Europe’s best-selling electric passenger vehicle.
This all electric car is also likely to come to India, as Sumit Sawhney, MD & CEO, Renault India said "As the government wants at least 150 km range for EVs, we are sure our car ZOE will be very suitable as it has a range of 400 km."
“This month Renault surpassed 100,000 electric vehicles sold and now ZOE will travel up to 400 km without recharging,” said Groupe Renault Chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn.
Tesla Motors' first all electric SUV accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds.

About the vehicle, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said "the Model X sets a new bar for automotive engineering, with unique features. It should attract new customers - particularly women - to the brand".
Apart from its double-hinged falcon-wing doors, it also has other eye catching features.

This includes Maps and navigation with real time traffic updates, GPS enabled Homelink, Automatic keyless entry, with automatically opening front doors, Four child seat attachments, two in each passenger row, etc.
Model X is able to achieve 250 miles of range. At 0.24, Model X's drag coefficient is 20% lower than the next best SUV, the company claims.
