Quark 1: All you need to know about world's first 'class changing' vehicle
India’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp introduced its concept vehicle Quark 1, termed as the world’s first class changing vehicle in Jaipur.
The concept can be used interchangeably as both, a two-wheeler and a three-wheeler in personal and commercial operations, for category L5 of three-wheeler and L2 of two-wheeler, under MV Act.
The product was conceptualised from the age-old practice of using horses for multiple services, which gave the idea of using vehicles for multi-utility solutions.
Quark 1 has an interchange mechanism with retractable rear wheel.
The vehicle comes with technologies like live monitoring of battery SOC, customized user profiles, GPS
The vehicle is designed with an aim to reduce vehicle density
Quark 1 is powered by M360 and AMSEP (Advanced Modular Scalable Electric Powertrain) technology
The class changing vehicle comes as part of Hero's project, Hero Hatch Electric Modular Mobility.
