Some of the cool electric cars showcased at Beijing Motor Show 2016

Look at its design, and you will be thinking as if you are in 2050 or so. It was first introduced at the Shanghai Auto Show 2015.

This "futuristic capsule design" is an electric self-driving concept car.

It comes with "dragonfly"-style swinging doors, and a wireless charging system for the electric drivetrain. Its front seats can rotate 180 degrees so that all passengers can talk while the car navigates itself.

This plug-in hybrid is not only depended on electricity, but has a turbocharged 1.5-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine, and together they produce 362 horsepower.

Beijing Motor Show 2016 showcased love for SUVs by Chinese consumers. This is an electric SUV concept and is expected to be launched in the country in 2017.

This SUV electric and self-drive technology has the ability to share internet connection with other cars on the road - where the Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Tesla are focused.

This two-seater sports car from the French automaker Peugeot is powered by two electric motors and lithium-ion batteries that produce 201bhp.

The whole cabin has been covered in sound proofing material similar to what is found in a music studio.
LeSee is a low four-door electric sedan from LeEco (formerly LeTV), which aims to change the future of automotive ownership through internet based social tools as well as shape the future of autonomous driving.

It will compete directly with the Tesla Model S. It has a top speed of around 215km.

Qiantu showcased a Roadster version of the K50 Coupe electric sportscar that was unveiled back in 2014. It is powered by two electric motors and produces combined output of 408 hp and 680 nm torque.

New Chinese electric vehicle maker Changjiang EV premiered its first car E60 eCool at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show 2016.

It is expected to feature a 25kWh battery with a top speed of 136km/h, range 200 kilometer, and that charging takes 7.7 hours on 220V or one hour on a fast charger for 80% battery.

The ARCFOX-7 is a new electric supercar by China’s car giant BAIC. Powered by a 603 bhp electric motor coupled with a 6.6kWh battery pack, this two seater sprint from 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds.
