Time to recall the recallers of 2017

Jeep is one of the most important launches of FCA. The company is on a roll ever since its launch. Due to issues in front passenger airbag, the carmaker recalled 1,200 units of Jeep. The affected units were manufactured between 5 September and 19 November 2017. The recall was part of an exercise that FCA US has initiated.
The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki announced a service campaign to resolve a possible fault in the rear wheel hub of the new DZire. The campaign affected 21,494 units of the DZire manufactured between 23 February 2017 and 10 July 2017. Inspection and replacement of the fault, if any, would be done free of cost by the company.
Electric carmaker Tesla recalled 11,000 Model X sport utility vehicles worldwide due to faulty locking mechanism in their rear seats that raises the risk of the seats falling forward in a crash. The company informed a small number of cables in the second row fold-flat seats in some Model X vehicles, manufactured between 28 October 2016 and 16 August 2017 may need to be adjusted to fix the issue.
Nissan Motor Co recalled 1.2 million new passenger cars it sold in Japan over the past three years after discovering final vehicle inspections were not performed by authorised technicians. The recall is the second major misconduct incident involving a Japanese automaker in as many years, after Mitsubishi Motors Corp admitted in April 2016, it had falsified the fuel economy for some of its domestic market models.
Toyota Motor Corp recalled about 2.9 million vehicles in Japan, China, Oceania and other regions, including India, due to faulty airbag inflators manufactured by Takata. Toyota said recalls were issued for about 1.16 million vehicles sold in Oceania, the Middle East and the automaker's smaller markets, while about 750,000 vehicles had been recalled in Japan. In India, nearly 23,000 units of the Corolla Altis sedan were called back and these were manufactured between 2010 and 2012. The customers were informed of the exercise and the recall was done free-of-cost.
Skoda Auto India recalled 663 units of its Laura model range produced between 2009 and 2010 to update software control unit of braking safety system. The company conducted a service campaign to update software of ABS/ESC control unit of 663 units of the Laura model range produced between 2009 and 2010.
Ford India voluntarily inspected 39,315 Ford Fiesta Classic and previous-generation Ford Figo vehicles, made at the company’s Chennai plant between 2004 and 2012, for a potential concern related to high pressure power assisted steering hose. Ford India, through its dealers, is replacing the high pressure power assisted steering hose on all affected vehicles.
Indian arm of Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha recalled 1,155 YZF-R3 motorcycles in the country. The step was part of a global recall by the parent company, which detected a defect in the bike's Fuel Tank Bracket and Main Switch Sub Assy.
