Toyota Prius

Price: Rs. 38 lakhs to Rs. 40 lakhs

The Prius is a D-segment hybrid sedan by the Japanese auto giant, Toyota. The Prius features an aerodynamic shape, uniquely designed clear lens headlamps and fog lamps and aggressively designed bonnet with a sleek radiator grille. The Prius is powered by a 1.8L 2ZR-FXE 4-cylinder in-line hybrid-petrol engine which churns out 98Ps of power and a peak torque of 142Nm; while the synchronous motor attached to it produces 72Ps of power and delivers a peak torque of 163Nm. It comes mated to a continuously variable transmission. The nickel metal hybrid 200V 6.5Ah battery churns out 122Ps of total system output.
Toyota Camry Hybrid

Price: Rs. 31 lakh to Rs. 32 lakh

The Toyota Camry is a mid-size premium sedan by the Japanese auto giant. The automaker has given the Camry a completely new look and the eight-generation Camry hybrid is expected to launch sometime next year. The new-gen Toyota Camry hybrid is powered 2.5L 4-cylinder in-line 16-valve DOHC dual VVT-i motor, which produces a maximum power of 160Ps and delivers a peak torque of 213Nm. It comes mated to an e-CVT gearbox.
Mahindra eVerito

Price: Rs. 9 to Rs. 10 lakh

The eVerito is an all-electric mid-size sedan by the Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra. The eVerito comes equipped with a regenerative braking system along with a ‘boost’ mode. The Mahindra eVerito is powered by a 72V 3-phase AC induction motor with zero tailpipe emission, and generates 42Ps of power and a peak torque of 91Nm. It comes mated to a direct drive single speed transmission.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is the automaker’s first MPV on offer. The automaker had introduced the Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology with the Ciaz, and now the same has been used with the Ertiga. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga SHVS is powered by a 1.3L DDiS200 engine that churns out 91Ps of maximum power and a peak torque of 200Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
Mahindra e2o

Price: Rs. 6.2 lakh to Rs. 7.80 lakhs

The Mahindra e2o Plus is the Indian automaker’s contender in the EV space. The e2o features a contemporary design language. The Mahindra e2o Plus is powered by a 72V Lithium-Ion battery which churns out 41Ps of power and a peak torque of 91Nm. It comes mated to an automatic transmission gearbox. The battery takes 9 hours to charge fully and has a range of 140kms; also it can be fast-charged in one hour, for which the range would be 20kms.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS

Price: Rs. 7 to Rs. 10 lakh

The Ciaz is an entry level mid-sized premium sedan launched by Maruti Suzuki, to replace the SX4. Maruti Suzuki introduced the Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology with the diesel powered Ciaz. The Ciaz SHVS is powered by a 1.3L DOHC diesel engine which churns out 90Ps of power and a peak torque 200Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
BMW i8

Price: Rs. 2.14 crores

The BMW i8 is a luxurious hybrid vehicle by the German automaker. The i8 sports a futuristic design language and efficient dynamics, making it one-of-a-kind. The BMW i8 is powered by a 7.1kWh high voltage lithium-ion battery, an AC electric motor and BMW’s twin power 3-cylinder turbo engine which churns out 235Ps of power and a peak torque of 320Nm; while the 5kWh lithium-ion battery produces 133Ps of power and delivers a peak torque of 2500Nm; which when combined, produces 368Ps of power and 570Nm of torque.
Honda Accord Hybrid

The Accord hybrid is uniquely styled and retuned with perfection and sophistication. The Accord hybrid is likely to come in one trim featuring an industry-first two-motor hybrid system, which uses one motor to accelerate from a dead stop and second to start the engine.
