Where does New Ford EcoSport stand in comparison with previous model

Ford India launched its new Ford EcoSport starting from Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The price of earlier model started at Rs 6.75 lakh.

The new EcoSport comes in new shades - Golden Bronze - as well, and is now available in 8 exciting colours including Mars Red, Diamond White, Panther Black, Kinetic Blue, Moondust Silver, Chill Metallic and Smoke Grey.
The new EcoSport comes with a 5-speed MT 1.5L TDCi diesel engine with an improved peak power of 100 PS (previous 91 PS) that delivers mileage of 22.27 Km/L.

It delivers power and performance of a traditional 1.6-litre engine with an improvement in fuel economy by up to 20 percent.

The new EcoSport also gives an option of Ford's 1.5L TiVCT petrol engine that delivers 112 PS (previous 109.5 PS) of power and fuel efficiency of 15.85 Km/L.
New EcoSport puts 200mm of ground clearance between you and the road, potholes or whatever else is in your way. However, this remains the same when compared with the old EcoSport.

Its closest rival Hyundai Creta gives a ground clearance of 190mm.
The aggressive looks, get further enhanced with its lighting system, which further ensures maximum safety on roads. Fog lamps with daytime running lights is there to increase your visibility to other road-users. And in case ​daylight starts to fade, auto headlamps will turn on.

The ultra modern signature lights are there to reinforce its distinctive looks.
It has 20 Storage spaces for just about anything, 705L rear storage, and a full 705 litres of space with the 60:40 rear seats folded down flat.
Tilt and telescopic steering wheel and high driving position make this urban SUV serious fun to drive.
Want to use your phone or change the music on iPod? Just tell SYNC and it’s done. SYNC with Ford AppLink uses voice-activated technology to connect you with some of your favourite smartphone applications.
Let it rain, hail or even drizzle. As soon as it starts, the windscreen wipers will spring to life so you can see the road ahead.
In picture is auto-dimming mirror which darkens automatically at night in response to headlights, thereby reducing the glare that can create visibility problems for those driving at night.

For safety, it has six airbags. Front and side airbags for the driver and front seat passenger and side curtain airbags for front and rear seats.
