You have ridden a Yamaha motorcycle. Now you may drive a Yamaha car

In Tokyo Motor Show 2015, we got to see how Yamaha is going to grow in size, literally. From two-wheelers, the Japanese company is looking to graduate to four-wheels. And looking at the car, we are not complaining.
Yamaha has named it the Sports Ride Concept. In Yamaha's words, it has been designed in a way that the driving experience will be similar to riding a motorcycle.
The sports is built based on the iStream concept. So what is iStream: iStream: It is a process developed by Gordon Murray Design Limited to produce lightweight, high-rigidity vehicle structures rooted in Formula One technology.
Yamaha says that the headlights are inspired by YZF-R1, and is a testament to it inheriting the genes of the Yamaha flagship sports model.
Sports ride also gets sportsbike-like center-up muffler which is applied with a patent nano-coating technology.
Sports Ride Concept has what Yamaha calls 'Elementalism Design.' The company defines it as a design language "where each part is complete on its own, while establishing overall harmony. It expresses the beauty of "the one and the whole" which shares with Yamaha motorcycles."
Yamaha has made use of transparent material for building the roof, doors, and also the floor, "bringing the presence of earth closer as you drive through."
The Sports Ride is 153.5 inches long, 67.7 inches wide, and 46.1 inches high
Yamaha says the symmetrical design of the driver’s area enables to envision the field of sight of a motorcycle rider on the road.
On the inside, different material are sewed together to give a rather unique feel. Metal, leather, and carbon finish is used to create a high quality, functional interior.
The 2-seater rear-wheel drive sports car's has a lightweight, high-rigidity chassis which boasts of optimised front and rear weight distribution.
In fact, Sports Ride in all probability might not be the first car to come out of Yamaha Stable.

Yamaha is also working on this city car called Motiv.e along with Gordon Murray, the well known automotive designer.
If reports are to be believed, we could see these on roads by 2019
In fact, Neither Motiv.e, nor the Sports Ride concept is the beginning of Yamaha's four-wheel dreams. Yamaha's OX99-11, which was supposed to be launched in 1994, was the first serious attempt by the Japanese two-wheeler maker to get into car segment.

Eventually, the project was terminated with only three prototypes ever built, one each in red, yellow and blue.
