The Active Safety Systems include radar systems, vision systems, night vision systems, active seatbelts, brake systems, system integration, dynamic spot light and demonstrations. The passive safety systems include airbags, seatbelts, steering wheels, passive safety electronics, pedestrian protection and child restraints. The research sector looks upon the reports, paper work and quality. Manufacturing sector includes Autoliv production system and capabilities. The crash testing sector includes services and contacts. The company with its joint ventures includes around 80 facilities with more than 70,000 employees in approximately 27 countries. The company has 22 technical centers in approximately nine countries around the world, with 19 test tracks. They are the largest automotive safety suppliers in the world. The company is the first to introduce the two and three point seat belt system and airbags for front and side impact. The invention of the active safety systems is an attempt to step forward towards road safety, by reducing the speed of impact. In the current scenario, the market share of the company is around 20-25%. The company came into existence with the merger of the Swedish company Autoliv AB and the US Company Morton ASP, which incorporated in the state of Delaware.
