They are also the only company with multi locational manufacturing units spread across the nation and is equipped with the latest technology machines. Exide designs, manufacture and sells the widest range of lead acid storage batteries across the globe. They manufacture batteries for the automotive, power, telecom, infrastructure projects, computer industries and the defense sectors, with the help of the latest technological inputs. The company has subsidiaries in the UK, Singapore, Sri Lanka and the exports vary from 45 countries spread across six different continents. Their R&D Centre was set up in 1976, and is known as one of the premier battery research facilities in the world. They are also recognized by the department of Scientific and industrial research under Ministry of Science and technology, Government of India. The company has spent over 60 years in the industry with a lot of experience in research and development, manufacturing across 7 field operation in conventional flooded and CRLA design.

MSME body wants FM to extend GST deadlines

Mysuru likely to get over Rs 4,000 crores investment in various sectors

After announcement of new industrial policy, three companies have shown interest in investing over Rs 2,000 crore in Mysuru district. Among them is an auto part company while another is a pharma company which sought more land to expand its unit in Nanjangud. Another company involved in packaged drinking water has also shown interest to invest in Mysuru. These new investments are in addition to another Rs 2,000 crore investment proposed by a multinational smartphone/ electronics product manufacturer taking the total investment to over Rs 4,000 crore in the district.
