New Hyundai Creta 2024 sales exceed 1 lakh units in six months

The company developed Hyundai Motor India Engineering in the year 2006 and started contributing to the development of Hyundai Motors new car models for the national market. The other research and development centres situated across the globe are in United States, Japan, Korea., Germany and China. The current models that are being manufactured are: Hyundai Eon, Grand i10, Xcent, Elite i20, I20 Active, Elantra, Creta and 3rd Gen-Verna. Shahrukh Khan is on board as their brand ambassador and has also won the "Brand ambassador of the year" award for Hyundai i10 at NDTV Profit car and bike awards. The company has recently won the award for Indian Car of the year for Hyundai Verna in 2017.

The SUV is powered by a 1.2-litre Bi-Fuel (Petrol with CNG) engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Exter Hy-CNG Duo delivers a fuel efficiency of 27.1 Km/kg (ARAI Tested). To ensure safety, the SUV is equipped with a company-fitted CNG system with an Integrated Electronic Control Unit (ECU), guaranteeing a seamless driving experience while shifting from petrol to CNG and vice versa.

Hyundai Motor, in a regulatory filing, said it would take a 287 billion won (USD 219.19 million) loss on selling the plant, in which operations have been suspended since March 2022.
Total sales for November 2023 include domestic sales of 49,451 units and export of 16,350 units.
Indian subsidiary Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) - which contributed 18.6% to global sales in the first half of the year - is looking at growing by 8.5-9% to post its best-ever sales of 600,000 units in the local market in the ongoing calendar year.
Working towards a safer roadmap for India, HMIL announced its voluntary participation in BNCAP with 3 models to begin with, and more models to follow, the company said.

Kia aims to strengthen its play in the mid-SUV segment with the new Seltos as the outgoing Seltos became Kia's best-selling product innovation with more than 5 lakh sales in just 4 years.
