UP emerges as top state in total vehicle sales in Oct-Dec 2023; Maharashtra 2nd: SIAM

Uttar Pradesh witnessed the highest number of three-wheelers sold in the quarter at 23,859 units, followed by Maharashtra (20,495), Gujarat (19,743) and Bihar (14,955). Similarly, in the two-wheeler category, Uttar Pradesh topped the list with a total of 6,73,962 units sold in the state, followed by Maharashtra (5,15,612), Madhya Pradesh (3,35,478) and Tamil Nadu (3,24,918).

Gujarat aims to produce 3MMTPA of green hydrogen by 2030

According to state government estimates, the state will require USD20-25 billion of investments by 2030 to set up just 1 MMTPA of green hydrogen capacity. This initiative will include 8-10GW of installed capacity of electrolysers costing more than INR 45,000 crore and 20-30GW of insta lled renewable energy capacity.

Vedanta eyes production boost in Gujarat, submits plan for 2,000+ barrel/day onshore discovery

Vedanta made this gas and condensate discovery, named ‘Jaya’, in its block CB-ONHP-2017/2 in the Bharuch district of Gujarat in August 2021. This is the first field development plan submitted for any discovery in the 144 blocks awarded under open acreage licensing policy (OALP) to various companies, Vedanta said. Vedanta has exploration licenses for 51 OALP blocks.

Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran has announced that the company is close to completing a deal for a semiconductor fabrication unit in Gujarat's Dholera. The commissioning of the unit is expected to begin in 2024. "We are in the final stages of negotiations and plan to start work by 2024," said Chandrasekaran during a summit. He emphasized Tata's dedication to enhancing the technological infrastructure in the region.
