The company is a multinational company and is also the largest manufacturer of tyres in the country. They are also the fourteenth largest manufacturer across the globe. The product portfolio of the company include: tyres, treads, tubes and conveyor belts, paints and toys. The company has manufacturing plants at Kerela, Puduchery, Arakonam, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. The company supplies their products to more than 65 countries and has a dealer network of more than 3,000 dealers. The company built its first Formula 3 car in the year 1997. The company in collaboration with Maruti established the Formula Maruti racing, open wheel class motorsport racing event for racing cars in the country. The company also operates MRF Rire Tok, MRF Musclezone, and MRF Tyredrome shops that deliver tires, tubes, robotic wheel alignment, diagnostic wheel balancing, tire changing, nitrogen filling and AC recovery and recharging services. The design process at the company starts from the customer itself as the company believes in taking inputs from the individual customers as the company compiles by marketing. The company now works on converting their customer input into a designing concept. They use cutting- edge technologies in predictive testing and design validation before they leave the drawing board.
