They design, manufacture, and supply auto electrical components for original equipment manufacturers in India and abroad. The company has manufacturing plants in Mumbai, Satara, and Rudrapur in India India whereas Prague, Czech Republic. They also have sales branches in Ahmadabad, Bangalore, kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Indore, Jaipur, Pune, Kanpur, Vijaywada, and Jalandhar. They design, manufacture, and supply advanced technology Alternators, Wind Shield Wiper Systems, Wind Shield Washer System, Oil Pressure Switches, Starter Motors and Industrial motors to the world's automotive, tractor and engine industries. They are a part of Ashok Piramal Group, one of the fastest growing business conglomerates in India. It was acquired by the Piramals in 1981. The growth of the company has resulted in making it one of the most trusted brand in the auto component business. They have achieved various milestones. In the year 1962 when the company was incorporated, they only has one plant at Mumbai. In the year 1981 the company was taken over by Piramals. In the year 1984, the company setup Green field plant at Satara for Distributors and Alternators. In the year 1993, they started the Production of wind shield washer system started at Satara. In 2000, they started Alternator Supply to Mahindra and Mahindra Tractors. Later, the company acquired PMP Bakony Ablaktorlo - Rendszerek Kft in Hungary for Wiper systems business. They also acquired PAL International SRO in Czech Republic for Wiper systems business. They later set up wiper system production plant at Satara. PMP Auto Components Private Limited has reached out to almost all segments of the automotive industry such as passenger cars, commercial vehicles, tractors, jeeps, as well as for stationary and marine applications.
