Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and Sona Autocomp Holding Private Limited. The company was established in the year 1995 and has its headquarters in Gurgaon. The company had its first commercial production at Gurgaon. But they began the commercial production in the year 1996. The company is engaged in the manufacture of precision forged bevel gears, differential case assemblies and synchronizer rings for automotive and various other applications. As compared to other available technologies, the company's products have helped improve the strength and are cost effective. Their components have higher mechanical strength because of uninterrupted grain flow with the tooth flanks and contours. In the year 2005, the company started with its production at Pune. The list of products that the company offers includes monoblock speed gears, face gears, heavy duty couplings, cap for differential carrier and more. The company added Differential Case Assembly and E-Axle as a new product. ThyssenKrupp Forging Business was acquired in the year 2008. After so many years, the company has a number of clients in the country and overseas. Some of their clients include: Eicher Tractors Ltd, Force Motors, TAFE, Tata Motors Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra, JCB, Axle Tech International. The company's products are used for passenger cars, vans and light commercial vehicles. The company offers steering gears of manual tracks, hydraulic power, and manual rack. The company was renamed from Sona Okegawa Precision Forgings Ltd to Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd in the year 2013. The company received an award by TPM Consistency in the year 2014.

The Hungary facility is the first greenfield manufacturing unit of Sona Group, outside India, which is spread over 4800 square meters. The Hungary plant is a downstream process unit which will increase the production capacity by 40% through machining and heat treatment areas.
Total investment planned for the new facility is approximately Rs 1,000 mn, which will be spent over the next 2-3 years, creating around 300 new jobs. This facility will augment the Company’s production capacity by 30%.
