The company basically provides the customers with products that ranges in engines, generators and components. The group consists of seven legal entities that crosses more than 200 locations in the nation with a turnover (combined) of over Rs. 10,880 crores in the year 2016 with an employee base of 10,000 individuals. The seven companies includes: Cummins India Limited, Cummins Generator Technologies India Pvt Ltd, Cummins Technologies India Pvt Ltd, Fleetguard Filters Pvt Ltd, Tata Cummins Pvt Lt, Valvoline Cummins Pvt Ltd and Cummins Sales and Service Pvt Ltd. When combined, the group has 21 manufacturing plants across the country. They operate their business through three segments: Engine Business, Power Systems Business and Distribution Business. The Engine Business is involved in manufacturing engines from 60 HP for low, medium and heavy duty on-highway commercial vehicle markets and off highway commercial equipment industry that spans construction and compressor. The Power Systems Business manufactures and designs high horesepower engines from 700 HP to 4500 HP for marine, railways, defense and mining applications and power generation systems. This comprises of integrated generator sets that includes switches, paralleling switchgear and controls for usage in standby, prime and continuous rated systems. The Distribution business was created with a view point of providing products, packages, services and solutions for uptime of the company's equipment. With the help of 31 authorized dealerships spread across the country, with more than 200 branch offices and 450 service touch points, this business provides parts, new and rebuilt engines, batteries, services and customer solutions that helps in the manufacturing of products by the company.
