VST Tillers Tractors Ltd. was established in the year 1967 by the VST Group of companies, which is a well-known century old business house in South India. The group built its reputation through retailing of petroleum products and distribution of Automobiles in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The company deals in petroleum products and automotive marketing and after sales service. The company was promoted by VST Motors as a joint venture with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, Japan. The company is now the largest manufacturer of Power Tillers in India. The company has been growing steadily. Currently, the VST family holds 51% of the equity in the listed company that has recorded consistent growth and has given excellent returns to its shareholders. The manufacturing of key components for the engine for both Power Tiller and Tractor takes place in the Precision Components Division located in Mysore. The manufacturing facility for Power tillers has been retained at Whitefield Road, Bangalore and the Tractors have been shifted to Hosur in Tamil Nadu. The company produces power tillers, tractors, rice transplanter, power reaper, rotatory tillers, attachments, engines and precision auto components. The company has manufacturing units in Bangalore, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They have 11 sales offices in: Ghaziabad, Bihar, Guwahati, Kolkata, Cuttack, Anantapur, Ravulapalem, Bilaspr, Bhopal, Ganadevi and Kolhapur. Their consignment agents are in Goa, Jammu & Kshmir and Kerela.

M&M Group launches advanced tractor range Yuvo Tech

Launched in 37 hp, 39hp and 42hp, the new Yuvo Tech+ is powered by Mahindra's new mZIP 3-cylinder engine, which comes with higher cubic capacity technology. The three tractor models are Tech+, Tech+ 405 and Tech+ 415.

Tractors, power tillers allowed to be retrofitted with bio-fuel engines

The decision to allow the retrofitting is aimed at promoting the use of cleaner fuels and extending the lifespan of vehicles used in farming. It comes after road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari launched India’s first CNG tractor converted from a diesel-based engine.

Deere's shares hit record high on earnings forecast upgrade

The world's largest farm equipment maker said it now expects net income of about $2.25 billion for the full year, higher than the earlier estimate of $1.6 billion to $2 billion. Operating cash flow for the year is estimated to be $2.8 billion, up from the $1.9 billion to $2.3 billion projected in May.
